Coxe Buildings

The Coxe Avenue property consists of 2 acres with several commercial buildings on South Slope, the fast-changing warehouse/central business district which is just a short walk to downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The 207 Coxe building, approximately 15,000 sf, has been transformed by the Asheville Area Arts Council into The Refinery artist studios.  The Refinery serves as the headquarters of the AAAC and a center for artist collaboration and entrepreneurship, as well as community and private events. The 217 Coxe building, approximately 16,000 sf, includes a warehouse with 22 foot ceilings and 3 loading docks, which are in short supply in the central business district. The Coxe Ave. property has a high degree of visibility and surrounding infrastructure.  It is near the corner of a major thoroughfare to the Biltmore Estate, McCormick Field baseball team stadium, and a cluster of new restaurants, retail and residential. The Asheville Downtown Master Plan refers to South Slope as the “major southern gateway” to downtown Asheville with “the most significant opportunities for downtown redevelopment and growth.”
